What we collect
When you join the Founding Access list we collect the email address you submit, the time you signed up, and basic first-party attribution when available (the page/source, UTM parameters in the link you arrived from, and your browser referrer). Optionally, and only after you've joined, you may tell us what brings you to TradeBuddy. We do not collect brokerage, financial, phone, address, or payment information for the Founding Access list.
Why we collect it
To send TradeBuddy research updates and meaningful product milestones, and to understand how people discover the project. Submitting your email registers you for these research/product communications. We record your consent and its timestamp.
Unsubscribe & suppression
You can unsubscribe at any time from the unsubscribe page. We suppress future communications and retain a minimal record of your unsubscribe for audit purposes. A normal signup will not silently re-subscribe an address that has unsubscribed.
Separation from research data
Founding Access / marketing information is stored in a dedicated marketing database that is kept separate from TradeBuddy's trading and research systems. Marketing data is not combined with, and does not affect, any research, strategy, or trading datasets.
No investment advice
TradeBuddy is a research and market-intelligence project under active development. Nothing here is investment advice, and no returns, performance, or commercial availability are promised.
Cookies & storage
The public website does not use advertising, marketing, or third-party analytics cookies, and does not track you across other websites. We do not set non-essential cookies here, so there is no cookie consent banner. If you sign in to the private research terminal, a single strictly-necessary session cookie is used only to keep you signed in; it is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. If you acknowledge our informational cookie notice, we store a small preference in your browser's local storage so the notice is not shown again; this stays on your device and is not sent to us. Third-party services
To operate the Founding Access list we rely on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: a third-party provider (Supabase) is used for data storage and infrastructure to hold the Founding Access information described above, and a third-party email provider (Resend) delivers our email. These providers process this information only to provide their service to us.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information you provide, including keeping marketing data separate from research and trading systems and limiting access to it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
